What is a professional organizer?
A Professional Organizer enhances the lives of clients by designing systems and processes using organizing principles and through transferring organizing skills.

How much do organizing services cost?
Service prices vary dependent on what you are looking for.  We provide hands-on organizing and require a 3 hour minimum. Custom pricing is available for larger scale projects.  Please see our services page for more information.

Where are you located?
Organizing by Lauren is based out of Arlington, VA.  Services are available within a 15 mile radius, including, but not limited to, Arlington County, Fairfax County and Washington, D.C.   For services outside 15 miles, a travel fee will be added.

How about confidentiality?
Under no circumstance do we share any part of your situation (what we see or hear) without your consent. 

Will I be forced to throw things away?
No. We help you decide if something belongs in your life or not and therefore if it has a place in your home.  If it does, we provide suggestions on where or how you should keep the item.  If it doesn’t, we give you recommendations of organizations to donate or sell items you no longer want. You make all the decisions. We just provide suggestions.

Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
Please don’t do anything. We need a realistic perception of what your home looks like normally, so we can best help you.

What types of payment do you accept?
We accept cash or personal checks.  Payment is due at the end of every session.

Do you have a cancellation policy?
We understand emergencies happen. However, there is a $50.00 cancelation fee for less than 24 hours notice.
